David Kordansky Gallery seeks a highly motivated, extremely organized, and collaborative individual to join our team as Content Producer. Reporting to the Digital Content Manager and in collaboration with the Director, Marketing and Communications, Gallery artists and artist estates, and other stakeholders across the Gallery, the Content Producer develops public-facing digital content for the Gallery’s social media and online channels that is compelling and relevant to the Gallery’s audience, leading to deeper engagement and impact. The Content Producer is responsible for managing a range of digital projects from conceptualization through completion; developing storytelling strategies in collaboration with the Director, Marketing and Communications and Digital Content Manager; and ensuring quality and consistency across digital content. They also support the Digital Content Manager in hiring and managing other content creators and external contractors in the production of content for the Gallery.
The Content Producer is also responsible for assisting with image formatting and retouching in collaboration with the Media Coordinators, Los Angeles and New York, as well as designing a range of print and digital materials and collateral for the Gallery. This position is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, requiring flexibility for additional hours based on the needs of the gallery.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social Media Content:
Develop, scope, edit, and produce original content for the Gallery’s Instagram and online channels, including: video and animated content for social and web platforms, static graphic assets, still assets, etc.
Develop and execute project timelines, track project status, and manage project deliverables
Troubleshoot creative and technical problems to ensure timely production and publication of content to Instagram, YouTube, and mailouts/newsletters
Immerse in and keep a finger on the pulse of trends and best practices across leading social and web platforms and media formats
Collaborate with the Gallery’s Marketing and Communications team on digital outreach and distribution
Store and catalog digital media following Gallery guidelines
Collaborate with colleagues on data analytics and reporting as needed
Other duties as assigned
Graphic Design:
Work with the Director, Marketing and Communications and all relevant internal and external stakeholders to design print and digital materials and collateral, including: static and animated image assets for email newsletters, event invitations, print advertising, gallery print collateral, exhibition posters, website assets, etc.
Photography:
Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications colleagues to conceptualize, coordinate, and photograph publications and miscellaneous products for the Gallery’s e-commerce site
Assist with gathering photography for gallery publications as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:

We seek candidates who are extremely self-motivated, responsible, and efficient, and who hold a sincere appreciation for and experience with navigating diverse cultural spaces. In addition:
Three to four years of experience in public-facing digital technologies, cultural journalism, media and video production, digital communications, or related field
BA in a related field or 3+ years of professional experience or formal training in media production, digital communications, journalism, visual or moving image arts
Previous experience working in an art gallery, art museum, or other type of museum and/or knowledge of contemporary art is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in planning, developing, and producing high quality content with a sophisticated visual aesthetic appropriate to a high-profile art gallery setting.
Strong creative and editorial skills, including writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Experience in supervising and guiding photographers, video crews, audio engineers, and editors.
Knowledge of new developments in digital storytelling, technologies, and delivery.
Ability to handle multiple complex projects and tasks, manage deadlines, and coordinate/produce time-sensitive materials in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to deliver on time and within budget.
Expert proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite to design and create a broad range of visual assets.
Strong analytic and reporting skills with ability to identify opportunities and make recommendations for optimization.
Skills in a Mac-based environment required including Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience using project management software such as Asana or Basecamp preferred.
Enthusiasm, initiative, and a strong sense of self-motivation and follow-through are key qualities for this position.
Fluency in multiple languages welcomed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
This is a full-time hourly position, overtime eligible.
The pay scale for this position is $25 – $35 per hour.
